Environmental considerations

Air Krete is nontoxic, does not create any ozone-depleting CFCs, has very low VOC emissions, and does not contain any formaldehyde or carcinogenic fibers.

Fire resistance

Air Krete is most impressive as a noncombustible insulation. The material does not burn, does not release any smoke, and is often used as fire-stop material. It is also reported that a standard, 2 X 4 framed wall filled with Air Krete insulation has even passed a 2- hour firestopping test.8
