The basic technique of bricklaying, from picking up a trowel full of mortar to the point of bedding bricks, involves a number of distinct steps and processes. Each bricklayer will bring a slightly different personal style to the way that these hand skills are carried out, but it is fair to say that, regardless of the style used, the most important issue is the effectiveness of the end result, provided that the following basic techniques are employed.
