Special-Shaped Bricks

Modern brickwork is often regarded as being rather dull and repetitive, but careful selection and use of materials, allied to some skilful bricklaying, can elevate it to more of an art form, giving designers and architects enormous scope for freedom of expression.

Most brick manufacturers offer a standard range of ‘special’ bricks to complement and match many of their facing and engineering bricks. Because the base material for bricks – clay – is so easily moulded into different shapes, many more non-standard ‘specials’ are available to order.
