Half-Brick Walls in Stretcher Bond
The term ‘stretcher bond’ is derived from the fact that all the bricks are laid with their stretcher faces showing. Half-brick walls in stretcher bond tend to be mostly used for the external leaf of a cavity wall. In addition and when strengthened by attached piers, they are used for garage walls, boundary and garden walls, and so on.
