Flying Formwork Limitations

1. In windy weather conditions, large flying formwork panels are difficult to handle. In remote site conditions, the likely or higher chance of high wind may be a major factor in slowing the flying operation.

2. Flying formwork should not be used for flat slab with drop panels around the columns. Traditional formwork techniques should be used in this situation.

3. The building must have an open facade through which the flying tables can be passed. However, innovative construction methods developed collapsible flying tables that allow them to pass through restricted openings in the building’s facade.
