SLAB FORM DESIGN
As mentioned in the first two chapters, basic elements for an elevated slab formwork are sheathing, joists, stringers, shores,
wedges, and mudsills. Joists and stringers are designed as a system of main and secondary beams, as the joists rest on stringers. Design usually starts by first selecting a cross section for the elements and then calculating a corresponding span. An integer or modular value is usually selected for spacing.
