Wood Species

Подпись: Copyright © Marcel Dekker, Inc. All rights reserved. The woods which may be used to manufacture plywood under U. S. Product Standard PS-183 are classified into five groups based on elastic modulus in bending and important strength properties. The group classification of a plywood panel is usually determined by the face and back veneer with the inner veneer allowed to be of a different group. For certain grades such as Marine and the Structural I grades, however, all plies are required to be of Group 1 species.
