Concrete Storage Tanks

There are two classifications of tanks based on their load effects: elevated tanks under hydrostatic pressure and underground tanks that will be affected by both hydrostatic loads and earth loads. This section will discuss the categories used for the classification of tank shapes (Figure 5.1).
